Ward’s Island Engagement Photos – Julia & Aidan
“Everyone keeps asking if we are rescheduling. What are your thoughts?” Julia asked me a day before their Ward’s Island Engagement Photos. “We can reschedule, but if we do, we are going to miss the rain, the wind, and possibly a great sunset over the city,” I replied. “OK, let’s do this!” she concluded.
Beautiful weather is in the eye of the beholder.
Julia and Aidan met 11 years ago while holidaying in Cuba. Julia was on her first trip away with just her sister, and Aidan came all the way from England for a vacation with his family. They parted ways but kept in contact, and a few years later, Julia visited England while on a backpacking trip around Europe. There was always chemistry between the two, and it was evident each time they saw each other. Five years ago in July, Aidan decided he wanted to visit Canada. They rekindled their romance and agreed to try a long distance relationship. They pushed through the first few years across an ocean, seeing each other every few months before Aidan packed his bags and came to Canada after finishing his degree. They got engaged last January at the cottage on the frozen lake, which is a place they both love to spend time at.
Any couple that can brave such a long distance relationship can naturally brave some raindrops, right?
