Best First Dance Songs For Weddings
A playlist of beautiful and quirky songs for your first dance as a married couple
Three years ago, when my wife and I landed in Toronto for the first time, we needed to spend some time in an Airbnb for a few days until our apartment was ready. It was a big industrial building, and we had an empty studio apartment with huge windows and only a sofa and a turntable as furniture. The following day I googled “best vinyl stores in Toronto” and saw a nice-looking store called “Rotate This” (now on Ossington Ave, but back then, it was on Queen St West). A few weeks before our arrival, I saw the movie Searching For Sugarman, and I was just blown away by Rodriguez’s story and music, so I decided to buy his record Cold Fact. Ever since that day, for my wife and I, Rodriguez has been our soundtrack of coming to Canada and our days in that Airbnb, our first home in Canada.
Music can bring back memories and can take you back in time exactly like a good photo does. For a long time now, I thought it could be useful for future brides and grooms to have best first dance songs for weddings playlist.
